Competing in sporting events is an integral part of the overall personality development of an individual. Keeping in harmony with this sentiment, Synergy 2018-19 organized the first edition of its Annual Sports Meet – IGNITE ’19 on 29th and 30th March 2019. True to the extravagance of the event, IGNITE was organized at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in its maiden voyage.
Teams and individuals from all over Delhi participated in the various events organized under IGNITE. The inaugural ceremony saw the lighting of the torch and exemplary athletes carrying it around the stadium with pride. It also included cultural performances of Bharatnatyam and Western freestyle dance forms in addition to soulful renditions of songs. Apart from the various athletic events and track relays, sporting tournaments in Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Badminton.

Elite national level players assisted the events as referees and motivated the participants. All of this built up to an extraordinary valedictory ceremony, in which medals and trophies were awarded to the participants for their excellent performance. For a first venture, IGNITE was managed and organized extremely smoothly with the assistance of students and faculty members alike, making it a grand success.
